Saxonburg Waste Water Treatment Plant

Butler County, PA, USA

Description:
To eliminate over 1,000 malfunctioning sewer systems and 10 dilapidated sewage treatment plants, the Saxonburg Area Authority completed a project that include a new 2.05 million gallons/day treatment plant, multiple sanitary sewer pumping stations and approximately 90 miles of sanitary sewers throughout numerous municipalities.

Products Used:
PENETRON ADMIX was used to waterproof 3 cast-in-place pumping stations pump sewage between multiple drainage basins. They are designed to work 15 to 25 feet below the ground water level at the project area. The waterproof design of the pump stations was critical because they are in close proximity to low lying wetlands and environmentally sensitive watersheds.
