Description:
La Reina Military Hospital is the largest hospital development in Chile of the last 30 years. Construction of this high tech facility used 60,000m3 of concrete.
Products Used:
PENETRON crystalline waterproofing materials were applied to 20,000m2 of exterior walls and interior spaces (bathrooms, kitchen, garbage areas and water tanks).
Description:
The Kroksberg Tunnel is part of the 110-year old Ådals Railway, a 180km-long railway connecting the town of Sundsvall, a port city 395 km north of Stockholm, with the Bothnia Line railway. It was upgraded along with 7 other new railway tunnels (total length of about 20 km) to accommodate express train traffic.
Products Used:
PENETRON ADMIX Enhanced Shotcrete (PAES) was used to line the Kroksberg Tunnel walls.
Description:
To facilitate its global expansion into international markets, Krivorozhstal, the Ukraine's largest producer of metal products such as steel and pig iron, upgraded its facilities to meet international manufacturing standards. The Chief Engineer of the Krivorozhstal Construction Department stated: "Our production facilities require the best protection to ensure the highest durability for years to come. PENETRON materials have proven to be of the highest quality and reliability."

PENETRON products were used on all of the major components of the complex: four blast furnaces, one of which is the largest in the Ukraine, with a capacity to convert up to 5,000 m3 of pig iron, three rolling shops, sump areas, a 1km underpass and other facilities.
Description:
One of the most popular malls in Sweden, the Kista Galleria mall features 180 shops and restaurants, a movie theater and bowling alley. The basement is home to O’Leary’s, Europe's most modern go-kart track (on 4,000m2) with electric karts running laps at speeds up to 70kmh (45mph). But there were challenges to overcome before the track could be built.
Products Used:
The basement had flooded floors and moldy walls. After a thorough preparation, PENECRETE MORTAR was applied to all the concrete joints and PENETRON was applied to all the walls and floors. After two months, the basement space, now sealed against any further water ingress, was completely dry.
Description:
Built for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in one of the poorest regions in the country, the King Sebatha Stadium was designed to be a maintenance free and waterproof facility.
Products Used:
The concrete was batched on-site in a 6m3 “Karoo” plant (dry batch). Additional products used include PENETRON ADMIX, PENETRON, PENESEAL FH, PENECRETE MORTAR and PENEBAR SW-45.
Description:
Peking University's Khoo Teck Puat Gymnasium is an indoor arena that was originally constructed for the 2008 Summer Olympics. With 26,900 m2 of floor space and room for 6,000 permanent seats and 2,000 temporary seats, this gym is the first in the world specifically designed for table tennis. Built in an architectural style called "China Ridge" to reflect the spirit of sports, the gym was remodeled to meet international and domestic needs: major sporting events and other large-scale events.
Products Used:
PENETRON technology was used to waterproof the concrete structure of the Khoo Teck Puat Gymnasium, including the integrated swimming pool.
